Deep Purple – Deep back into Purple ?

Επιστροφή στην αθέατη αγαπημένη τους

 πλευρά, προγκρ-φολκ των 60΄ς ?

Μερικά Τραγούδια από το το 21 αλμπουμ του συγκροτήματος, στα μέσα του  2020          “Whoosh”.Είναι επιστροφή μετά από 55 χρόνια ,στην αγαπημένη αφετηρία τους των 60΄ς , και ταυτόχρονα  φινάλε τους ? είναι η αθέατη μουσική τους πλευρά  συνάμα με κοινωνικές άσβηστες ανησυχίες  ?

Το τελευταίο άλμπουμ “Woosh” περιέχει πολλά κοινά σημεία με το μακρινό του 1968-69 άλμπουμ “Shades of Deep Purple”  ...έτσι ξεκίνησαν.( Αποτέλεσε ένα από τα πρώτα μας βινύλια , ως πιτσιρικάδες).

Αν μη τι άλλο πέρα από εκτίμηση, επιπλέον, παρακαταθήκη έστω δύναμης, σε εμάς τους νεότερους, να θυμόμαστε ότι και αυτοί οι τύποι , έπαιζαν λάιβ χέβι ρόκ, στα 77-78 τους !!, και μάλιστα σε ατελείωτες παγκόσμιες περιοδείες .  Οι Deep Purple βρίσκονται από το 2022 σε μια απ’ άκρη σε άκρη παγκόσμια περιοδεία, συμπεριλαμβάνοντας ξανά και την χώρα μας, μαζί με τους συνομίλικους και φίλους Saxon, το καλοκαίρι του 2023 .Αυτή η γενιά ρόκερς, των πάνω από 70 ετών θα μας τρελάνει , δεν έχει ξαναγίνει, δεν υπάρχει προηγούμενο, η μουσική ζωντανή σκηνή , είναι το σπίτι τους, είναι η ζωή τους. ‘’Perfect Strangers Rockers’’.

The lyrics of “Nothing At All” are an observation of what we humans have done to Mother Earth in our short time of existence. After exploring the subject of time and space with the first single “Throw My Bones” and following the concerned look into the future with “Man Alive”, “Nothing At All” brings a big philosophical question: is it really “nothing at all”? With this question in mind, Deep Purple’s spaceman embarks on yet another journey. Will it be the final one?

“Deep Purple is putting the Deep back into Purple” was the half-joking motto in the studio after the first songs made it clear that produser Ezrin and Purple were on a path to creating an album pushing the boundaries of time and music genres, while voicing their resentment about the current situation of the world and addressing all generations.

“Whoosh(name of the album) is an onomatopoeic word that, when viewed through one end of a radio-telescope, describes the transient nature of humanity on Earth; and, through the other end from a closer perspective, illustrates the career of Deep Purple.” – ig
