O Σκώτος ποιητής Robert Burns είναι ο εθνικός ποιητής της Σκωτίας και ο αγαπημένος ποιητής του Bob Dylan σύμφωνα με δηλώσεις του. Γεννήθηκε 25 Ιανουαρίου 1759 και πέθανε το 1796 πιο γνωστό του ποίημα που έχει γίνει και πετυχημένο τραγούδι για την πρωτοχρονιά είναι το Auld Lang Syne.
O Burns επίσης ήταν ο αγαπημένος ποιητής μεταξύ άλλων και για τους J.D Salinger και Michael Jackson
