Η Ακαδημία Κινηματογραφικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών αποκάλυψε τις βραχείες λίστες για τους υποψηφίους για Όσκαρ 2023 σε διάφορες κατηγορίες, όπως το καλύτερο πρωτότυπο τραγούδι, το καλύτερο πρωτότυπο τραγούδι και το καλύτερο ντοκιμαντέρ μεγάλου μήκους.

Στην κατηγορία του αρχικού τραγουδιού, μια μακρά λίστα 82 αρχικών υποψηφιοτήτων μειώθηκε σε 15. Περιλαμβάνουν τραγούδια από τους LCD Soundsystem ("New Body Rhumba" από το White Noise).
