Μία τενοντίδα που με ταλαιπωρεί αυτές τις μέρες με εμπόδισε να γράψω αυτά που σκεφτόμουν για την αντίδραση των Stones. Ο Jagger με δηλώσεις του επιβεβαίωσε τις σκέψεις μου που θα επιχειρήσω να γράψω αύριο, αν και φοβάμαι μην χειροτερέψει το χέρι μου τώρα που υποχωρεί ο πόνος.

O Paul είχε πει, καλό συγκρότημα οι Rolling Stones, όμως βασικά έπαιζαν blues και ακολουθούσαν συνήθως αυτά που έκαναν οι Beatles.

Οι Beatles δεν υπάρχουν πια ενώ εμείς παίζουμε ακόμα σε στάδια, είναι πολύ γλυκός ο Paul, αλλά οι Beatles διέλυσαν πριν αρχίσουν οι μπίζνες με τις εμφανίσεις σε μεγάλα στάδια, ναι έπαιξαν στο Shea στάδιο ήμουν εκεί, ήταν εντυπωσιακοί, αλλά δεν έκαναν περιοδεία, όπως εμείς, (εδώ είναι λάθος, οι Beatles όταν πήγαιναν στην Αμερική γέμιζαν στάδια, δεν πήγαν πολλές φορές, αλλά όταν πήγαιναν έπαιζαν σε στάδια, μόνο μετά τις δηλώσεις του Lennon για τον Χριστό είχαν πρόβλημα)

“The big difference, though, is and sort of slightly seriously, is that The Rolling Stones is a big concert band in other decades and other areas when The Beatles never even did an arena tour, Madison Square Garden with a decent sound system,” explained Jagger. “They broke up before that business started, the touring business for real.”

“So that business started in 1969 and the Beatles never experienced that. They did a great gig, and I was there, at Shea stadium. They did that stadium gig. But the Stones went on, we started doing stadium gigs in the ’70s and [are] still doing them now. That’s the real big difference between these two bands. One band is unbelievably luckily still playing in stadiums and then the other band doesn’t exist.”
