Πρόκειται για ένα από τα πιο διάσημα μουσικά δίδυμα, με τις σχέσεις τους να έχουν περάσει από 40 κύματα. Οι David Gilmour και Roger Waters έγιναν θρύλοι μέσα από τους Pink Floyd, ωστόσο δεν ήταν λίγες οι φορές που ήρθαν σε ανοιχτή σύγκρουση. Ο Waters εντάχθηκε στο γκρουπ το 1965, με τον Gilmour να ακολουθεί δύο χρόνια αργότερα. Μαζί δημιούργησαν albums θρύλους όπως τα The Dark Side of the Moon και The Wall, αλλά στα τέλη των 70s η σχέση τους είχε επιδεινωθεί κατά πολύ.
