Ήταν 6 Μαΐου 1972 όταν το τραγούδι του Elton John μπήκε στο νο 35 του Billboard Hot 100. Ο πλήρης τίτλος είναι “Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time)” και συμπεριλαμβανόταν στο album Honky Chateau. Σήμερα θεωρείται ένα από τα πλέον αναγνωρίσιμα τραγούδια του καλλιτέχνη. Με τον συνδυασμό πιάνου, κιθάρας και συνθεσάιζερ να δημιουργεί ένα μοναδικό αποτέλεσμα. Μεταξύ άλλων ήταν το τραγούδι με το οποίο έκλεισε η δημοφιλής σειρά "Californication" με τον David Duchovny.
